Heated argument, post-squabble soup served

Last night marked the first argument between Bede and I as we discussed the handover of the tenancy agreement. Bede will be leaving on Feb 13th and we have agreed to sign the tenancy agreement over to me. The problem I have with that is the house is not in the same condition as it was when Sam initially signed the agreement in 2005. So I want an inspection to work out how much bond we could expect back, or what things need to be fixed before we all move out. But this took Bede by surprise as he thought it would be as simple as signing over the agreement, sweet as. A heated argument followed and an intermission was kindly provided by Sophia calling to arrange the trip down to Kiwiburn this weekend. The argument continued shortly after intermission and eventually wound down until consensus was reached. I went for a run and Bede made soup. On return, I made french toast with blueberrys and cream. Bex, Bede and I listened to 80s synth pop and ate soup and french toast. It's all good for now, but I expect there may be a few more disagreements to come.

Mean dinner made, neighbour's identities confirmed

Victoria came over last night and we made a mean chicken pasta meal.

Bede came home with a bottle of vodka that we combined with my guava juice to make some fairly potent cocktails.

Neighbour's identities - the Coshercot Honeys - confirmed.

Video: The local Kingsland train station

I had just been for a run up Mt Eden last night and Red kindly offered to film me at the Kingsland train station to help get the video blog ting happening.

All is good at Kingsland, Bede used my jam for on his toast this morning, I used his bread to make toast, and we both used Bex's coffee beans to make coffee.

New neighbours: Predominately male

I've met a few of the new neighbours but forgotten their names.

Stereotype: approx 18-20 year old males, possibily one female, possibly indie, possibly have loaded parents, possibly art wanks.

Further investigation needed.

The neighbours of theirs, below their flat, sound like pricks, complaining about the noise despite only an acoustic guitar being played around midnight. Poor them, our harmless boys next door will need to grow some attitude reckon.

Newsflash: Cockroaches in hiding, sneak attack conspiracy theory likely!

There have been fewer than 5 cockroaches spotted in the kitchen today. However, there has been no evidence that any have died or migrated to a new location. Intelligence suspects the cockroaches are hiding in the stove in preparation for a late night sneak attack on the bread left out on the bench this morning. More details will be posted as they become available.

Bird boy announces imminent departure

Bird boy (Bede) announced about a week ago that he would be leaving the flat. This really upset me, even more so than breaking up with my girlfriend. Bede, as so succinctly described by Bex H, is the "glue" that holds our place together. Or in my words, he is the very essence of all life that exists in our humble home. He will be physically replaced by Asian Bex, who will take over his room mid-February, but his soul will always be present in our beautiful Kingsland home.
